Report H-Cap parking violators with this application for iPhone

Accessible Apps: HandicappedFraud application

Picture of Handicapped Fraud screen on iPhone.

The iTunes application, HandicappedFraud is a new way for smartphone users to report H-cap parking violators by posting their license plate information, location and time of day of the alleged violation, and make and model of the vehicle.  One can also take a snapshot and add it to a post describing the vehicle that does not have the proper placard or handicapped licence plate.  These photos are also added to Handicappedfraud's Facebook page.

The application is produced by HandicappedFraud.org, whose website was launched as a place for community based reporting of handicapped placard abuse and fraud. This organization requests that users report suspected violations in a respectful manner. After all, we never know all the circumstances behind an apparent violation of handicapped parking restrictions.

The organization's website speaks of positive outcomes in these mobile device reports through various police investigation teams throughout California.

You can also read a review of a similar application for the iPhone called Parking Mobility here at MyWirelessReview.com: http://www.mywirelessreview.com/Members/oahu73/itunes-application-parking-mobility/view

This application is a free download from iTunes.
